When I started 2016 Matt and I sat down and wrote out yearly goals for ourselves - or I forced Matt into a booth for brunch and prodded him to listen to all the things I wanted to accomplish. Like many resolutions they didn't stick around.
I never climbed that V5 at the bouldering gym - but we stopped going there cause I bought a house that was too far away. Lately, I'm diving full into learning Aerial Silks (literally diving cause I just learned my first 360 ° drop).
I didn't finish one book a month - but I spent the last two and a half months slowly making it through Matt's favorite book ever: The Count of Monte Cristo. Not nearly done - kinda bored - but I'll keep going cause I'm determined to figure out why he loves it so much.
I had a number pulled out of thin air for how many photo shoots I wanted to create or attend this year. No, I didn't make it to that number, but guess what? I did 55! Fifty-five times this year I pulled out my camera with intention. That's more than one a week = I'm super stoked!
Maybe my biggest accomplishment of all was finally pressing play on our "someday" plans to travel the world. As of today our 2 weeks notice is given and our bags are half packed. We'll be spending 2017 in South America doing the slow travel I've dreamed of for what seems like every. And we leave 7 days!
2016 was a pretty random assortment of amazing moment so my year in review had to be just as varied. Cheers to 2017 - I have a feeling it's going to be my year!
